Academic Paper: Learning on School Visits to Science Festivals
A paper by Dr. Cherry Canovan that: "looks at the operational aspects and structures of school trips to science festivals and examines how well they support learning. It highlights a number of areas in which science festivals are successful in promoting learning in this context, and makes a number of recommendations for improvement. Although the research was conducted with science festivals in the UK, I believe that its findings and recommendations are relevant to learning at science festivals in the international context, and I therefore thought that your membership might be interested in reading it."Dr. Canovan would excitedly share this with anyone looking to have access (for free!) but of course we want to track who accesses the paper and give users the chance to ask questions. Please email Dr. Canovan at CCanovan @ uclan . ac . uk (remove the spaces) to get the paper.
