The 2023 Summit is going to be different. You'll still have time for sharing creative ideas to help you run your events. But this year the Summit is dedicated to the next evolution of our work together. Thank you for choosing to join us as we set the direction and shape of your community of practice. Because this year is more of a working meeting, registration was limited. We expect 40 - 45 attendees from across the US and Canada. Many of the Summit's sessions will involve work-shopping issues in small groups. There may be in-meeting changes to the Summit agenda as we respond to what we're hearing, but for now, the program below will give you a sense of what to expect from the meeting.

On April 5-6, 2023, Morehead Planetarium and Science Center will host the inaugural Science for All Summit at the Friday Conference Center in Chapel Hill, NC. The Summit is a community convening to advance inclusion, diversity, equity, and access (IDEA) in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The theme of this year’s Summit is From IDEA to Action.

At the 2022 AAM Annual Meeting & MuseumExpo we’re gathering for rejuvenation and inspiration so that you are invigorated to play a critical role in the future of the museum field.

This annual seminar provides opportunities for scientists, science communication researchers and public engagement practitioners to discuss and share research and best practices for science communication and public engagement. The seminar is appropriate for participants at all levels of science communication and public engagement – from those who are just beginning to explore ways to incorporate science communication and public engagement into their work, to those who are reflecting on and refining their practices. Through panels, audience discussion and breakout sessions, seminar participants will learn from one another, forge new connections and consider ways to apply what they learn in their own efforts.
